So Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are back in this new film about what. Well the movie doesn't really seem to have much of a plot and the fact that half the good one liners are in Chinese doesn't do the English language any credit. I vote for 2.5 stars. Why because this movie could have been better. Why have the pretty girl from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Commit suicide again? Is that her claim to fame. She dies at the end of all her movies. Why can't she be turned into a duck or something. No she throws herself off mountains and eats bombs. She has nice legs though. So Chan and Tucker are off in Hong Kong investigating counterfeit dollars and Tucker ends up using those dollars to gamble. What? Anyway the guy who's mainly responsible also killed Chan's father. So Chan has to get even and Chris Tucker has to hop up on tables and immitate Eddie Murphy. Hey he does a great job but the story isn't a story but some silly cartoon. The writer of this film watches reruns of bugs bunny all day long. So onward into America from Hong Kong and Chan and Tucker do the best job they can with the horrible story that they've been dealt. Good guy wins and throws bad guy out the window. I thought this movie was going to be better. Next time. The girl from Tiger is nice though. So Chan and Tucker save the day and it works out ok. There is no character development in this film. Every single character is static. To have a good film you need a character who grows a bit. This film had no direction. See this film if you like stand up because that's all this film seems to be. One liners. It was like an exciting opera where all the singers are on crack.
