I give this movie 3 stars.
This movie opens with Jet Lee, in a futuristic setting, where he has found a
way to go into parallel universes. While in these parallel universes he
kills himself. Every time he does this, he absorbs the power of the parallel
universe person. According to the "Goverment" , otherwise known as the
universal federation, the lifestyle of sucking power out of other personas
in parallel universes simply doesn't fly. The universal federation takes it
upon themselves to put an end to this "nasty" habit and decides to intervene.
The movie begins to boil when it is discovered that there is only one more
parallel universe left, with one more duplicate asian person. This universal
federation seems to believe that if the man kills his last replica, the
universe will end up destroyed. The federation then attempts to put a stop
to it.
In my opinion, this movie is a bit silly, but by the same token, it has
entertainment value. This certainly is a movie you might want to wait to
view at home, although the size and features of the big screen give this
flick the boost it needs to keep you interested. Either way, my
recommendation is to see this either stoned, or drunk, so that the moves Jet
Lee does can be seen as lightning quick instead of as computer animated.
